Photography as a business is an exciting endeavor for me. I have been a licensed social worker for over 25 years, so photography has many parallels. Both involve making people comfortable. I strive to make each and every session fun, playful and easygoing. Most people do not walk through life looking like a stiff portrait. Your photos should look like you and capture you. The photos that I enjoy the most of my family and friends are the ones that show their personality. I enjoy capturing the little moments and details so that your photos are all about you.  Need me to wade through weeds, climb up a tree or stand in thigh deep water... I've done it before and will do it for you.

I have always loved taking pictures and have always had a camera either in my hand or close by for as long as I can remember. It gives me such joy to see the looks on people’s faces when they are looking at their photos for the first time or the excitement they have when sharing them. This is a feeling that I want everyone to be able to experience. I think photography should be accessible and affordable to everyone, which is why I price my work the way I do.

I prefer natural light photography and will meet you at the location of your choice. I don’t like putting limits on your vision or on mine. Working together we will find what works best and that includes changing locations, outfits, props… whatever it takes. Off the beaten path, that’s fine with me. Need me to wade through weeds, climb up a tree or stand in thigh deep water... I've done it before and will do it for you.

There are moments and changes in life that can be very poignant. As a social worker I have been honored to see people through many of those life changing experiences. The things people hold on the tightest to are their memories and they love showing photos of those memories. As a photographer I would be honored to capture these moments for you and your family. Every chapter, good or bad, happy or sad, has a story.
